You know when you just know? You see a house on a street, and you get a feeling? Well, that’s what happened to my husband, KC and I one day on a walk when we came across a little yellow house a few blocks from campus.

Missoula Montana is a special place.
Our family has strong roots here. KC is 4th generation Montanan and was born and raised in Missoula. We have raised our children here. It is truly our home.
However, we never thought we’d live in the University area. Not because we didn’t love it, but because it just literally didn’t occur to us. KC and I love to walk the tree lined streets, kicking up the gorgeous fall leaves on our way to watch the homecoming parade. Every winter, it’s such a sight to take in all the holiday lights adorning the beautiful craftsmen cottages, bungalows and historical homes. In the summer we cheer on friends running their last miles of the Missoula Marathon through the edge of the university district on the way to the finish line downtown. Also, we also are die-hard Grizzly football fans (both of us attended the University of MT. Go Griz! #montana #universityofmontana #missoula) Like all Missoulians, we’ve spent a fair amount of time in the area of the University.
We just knew.

That day on our walk when we saw the house, we commented about how great it would be to buy it and fix it up. #fixerupper Then we looked at each other and we just knew in that moment that this was going to be our new forever home. So, here we go…
We invite you to follow along as we lovingly remodel the little yellow house, on the corner, in the heart of the University of Montana neighborhood or in other words…
